Winters Theatre Company Announces 2025 Season

 

The Winters Theatre Company is very excited to announce its 2025 Season of theatre productions for the company’s second year at the historic Winters Opera House.

Since its founding in 1980, the Winters Theatre Company has been entertaining local community theater lovers. The 2025 Season continues that tradition with six productions which include drama, comedy, romance, melodrama, and mystery.
 

Doubt, A Parable
Jan 31 - Feb 9, 2025 (F/Sa/Su)

John Patrick Shanley’s Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning “Doubt, A Parable” is a gripping story of suspicion cast on a priest's behavior which challenges the audience to ponder the nature of faith, justice, and moral certainty.

10-Minute Play Festival
Feb 28 – Mar 8, 2025 (F/Sa)

The popular annual 10-Minute Play Festival returns for the 2025 season, featuring 8 all new original short plays.

Almost, Maine
May 2 – 11, 2025 (F/Sa/Su)

Welcome to Almost, Maine. John Cariani’s romantic comedy explores love and longing, friendship and isolation, melancholy and hope, and ultimately our search for human connection -- and maybe just a little bit of magic.

Murder on the Nile

Aug 1 – 10, 2025 (F/Sa/Su)
Class, money and reputation are all at stake for the passengers on a streamer cruising the legendary Nile River. Before they know it, deceit, theft and murder quickly make waves on the river. A host of colorful and mysterious characters add to the drama and suspense of this classic Agatha Christie mystery.

Phantom of the Opera House
Oct 10 – 19, 2025 (F/Sa/Su)

This original melodrama written by Winters Theatre Company founding member Germaine Hupe returns for the 2025 season!  Travel back to the early days of the Winters Opera House when a family of vaudeville actors arrives to perform Shakespeare on the Winters stage. A series of mysterious events ensures. Are these unlucky accidents? Or does some enemy, filled with evil purpose, stalk the theatre?

Greetings!
Nov 21 – 30, 2025 (F/Sa/Su)

Tom Dudzick’s “Greetings!”  is a wonderful, wacky look at how cleverly a mixture of Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Age philosophy can--in the right hands--flick on the electricity.
